The medical field in general, and the field of dentistry in particular, has witnessed significant development in recent years, reflected in the opening of many clinics dedicated to the treatment and health of the mouth and teeth. This specialty requires a large number of qualified personnel, including dental assistants. Therefore, it is with great pleasure to announce the launch of a Dental Assistant course at Al-Qasemi College of Engineering and Science, to address the significant shortage in this essential specialty. Research and reports have shown the immense demand from hospitals and medical centers (dental clinics) for this specialization. Additionally, the Ministry of Health recommends that dentists employ qualified dental assistants and is working on implementing a system that will require assistants to obtain a certification.
The classrooms at Al-Qasemi College of Engineering and Science have been equipped, and a dedicated clinic has been set up for practical training. This clinic is furnished with the latest technical equipment to ensure that students receive hands-on experience during their studies, preparing them to graduate with the competence needed to handle any challenges or issues they may face in the future.
The course focuses on teaching students how to work effectively and efficiently as part of a dental team and encourages them to stay updated with the latest developments in dental assisting to meet the challenges and demands of the future.
