Dental Technician

A dental technician is responsible for executing specialized dental prescriptions, such as dentures, bridges, crowns, and all that pertains to dental treatment and repair. The dentist sends the descriptive requests to the dental lab to be fabricated according to the patient's mouth and teeth measurements. The dental lab then calls in the specialized technician to take an impression of the jaw and create a model using special clay.

From this model, the technician can determine the tooth sizes, gaps between the teeth and gums, and apply all the necessary repairs for the patient on the model, including crowns, tooth colors, braces to correct misalignments and deformities, and the identification of missing teeth that need to be implanted or fitted, along with other repairs.

The education includes 2000 instructional hours.
The certificate is recognized by the Ministry of Health.
Duration of the education: 2 years, 4 days a week.
